The Heart for Life programme was set up in 2010 by Drs Andrew and Claire Mitchell in Jersey as a method of screening the Island population for inherited and acquired heart disease.

Using state of the art imaging techniques and guidelines from major International Cardiology and sporting bodies, the Heart for Life programme has become a highly effective way of screening for inherited cardiac conditions and early coronary heart disease.

Heart for Life works with professionals who are trained and experienced in acquiring cardiac investigations backed up by a dedicated team of support staff. Our aim is to offer you a personal, friendly experience throughout your time with us.

Andrew Mitchell

Andrew Mitchell

Andrew is a Consultant Cardiologist in Jersey and Honorary Consultant at Oxford University Hospitals. He is member of the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine and has been awarded Fellowship of the European Heart Rhythm Association, the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, the Royal College of Physicians (London), the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology.

Claire Mitchell

Claire is company director of Heart for Life and a Doctor of Psychotherapy. Her business degree led to a twelve year career in sales, marketing and public relations in the medical industry.
