Exercise is vital to maintain a healthy heart and circulation and has been shown to make you live longer.

Exercise makes you feel healthier, reduces your blood pressure, helps you lose weight and lowers your cholesterol. Any form of exercise is better than none at all and simple things like walking, swimming, climbing stairs, and gardening all help. Ideally you should exercise at least five times a week for 20-30 minutes.

Most experts recommend healthy adults exercise at 60 percent to 80 percent of their maximum heart rate (220 minus your age). For example, the target heart rate for a 40 year old man would be at least 0.60 X (220-40) = 108 beats per minutes.
